Wild Africa Trek
February 12th, 2015 9:30 AM

Many come to the Orlando area to visit the four theme parks of Disney World, but less discover the private, "behind the scenes" tours available to visitors of the parks.   These tours require an additional price that is separate from the admission ticket to the theme park, but they offer opportunities that will never be experienced anywhere else, creating very special memories.

We were able to experience "Wild Africa Trek" at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park this week and it certainly exceeded our expectations!   This privately guided VIP expedition offers close encounters with exotic African wildlife in their native habitat.  The 3-hour safari tour will have you seeing hippos and crocodiles just 10 feet below as you make your way across a shaky rope bridge, secured to an overhead track with a safety harness.  You will explore the Safi River Valley and discover a variety of wild animals in a natural environment.  Then you will ride in a safari vehicle over an open savanna, driving into places the regular safari trucks cannot go, therefore allowing for up close views of giraffes, rhinos, zebras, monkeys, elephants and much more!

Not only do you have knowledgeable guides to answer all your questions, but a trained photographer will take pictures throughout the entire adventure, a service that is included with the tour.  While you enjoy the close encounters in the Harambe Reserve, the photographer captures all the action!

At the end of your tour, you will be treated to a fantastic "African"  lunch at a special outdoor observation pavilion right on the savanna, surrounded by all the animals in their natural habitat.  Afterwards, the safari jeep takes you back to reality.

Complimentary souvenirs and memories of a lifetime are what you take away from this unique, exceptional private tour.   It will not disappoint!
