Latest in "LegoLand"

The targeted opening date for the new "LegoLand" that will be located in the former Cypress Gardens in  Winter Haven will be October of 2011.  Many of the famous gardens will remain intact, but the 150 acre park will now offer some new and unique attractions as well.

There will be models of cities, all out of legos, of course; a dinosaur roller coaster and specifically a "Florida land" which will be just one of various "lands" around the park.  The new owners have not released all of the changes so that an element of surprise surrounds the grand opening.  They even want to introduce some new food items, such as "grannie's apple fries" and some other snacks that will compliment the theme of the park.

Tickets can already be purchased in anticipation of next year's opening:  $99 for an annual pass; $65 for an adult ticket and $55 for children.  Any children under the age of 3 will have free admittance.

Even though the Orlando area is saturated with "theme parks" this one is a "one of a kind" attraction and is destined to be quite popular with children and adults alike.  It will also be welcomed by many residents in the area, who were so disappointed with the closing of Cypress Gardens Park.  Jobs will be created and activity will once again pick up in the area - a positive win for everyone.
