Intuition has been called our "sixth sense" and is often an ability ascribed to women, as a result of our age-long training in human relations.  But men have it too.

Wild animals rely on their intuition to stay alive; we should rely on ours to maneuver safely through the maze that is real life, helping us to thrive.

Intuition tries to communicate with us in inventive ways.  One way is through "the educated gut" which can slap us to pay attention to a strong physical reaction in our bodies.  Sometimes we get an emotional reaction that seems to warn us not to take a certain action.  A positive intuition might break through that tells us to try something new and by doing so we are delighted and surprised by joy.  A third intuitive nudge occurs through revelation; the inner knowing that helps us arrive at the right place at the right time.

Sometimes we just "know" that we should be somewhere, that we should visit someone, or that we should reach out in a  particular situation.   We have that "gut feeling" that we should alter a certain route, cancel some travel plans or avoid a personal conflict.  We even have a strong intuition when the "right home" comes along.

The question is, do we use our gift of intuition?  Have we learned how to fine-tune the inner radio that is constantly transmitting signals?   If the "gut feeling" is there, pay attention to it.  Seek the wisdom and guidance of the inner voice known as "intuition."  You never know where it will lead you.
