From Darkness to Light
March 27th, 2013 10:39 AM

Spring is always a wonderful time of year, filled with new growth, new life and extended light each day.  But sometimes we will still experience our own dark days of depression, disappointment, or despair.

Circumstances beyond our control can bring dark clouds and storms into our lives.  Any kind of depression can derail our progress, produce exhaustion, and cause decisions to give up, give in and lie dormant.  But it is important to realize that a dormant period always precedes a growth spurt.  The best transformations are accompanied by pain.

So an alternative to the darkness is light.  No matter what route is taken, within twenty-four hours the day will be over.   Tomorrow will be better.  But if not, then the next day . . . . or the next.   Dark days come to all of us.  Yet discouraging days bring with them golden opportunities for change and hope.

During this Holy Week, we are reminded of another darkness that turned to light.  We are promised a new life and a light that will shine forever overcoming the darkness.  We are offered hope for the future.  May this Easter season bring an abundance of blessings to us all.

A Very Happy and Blessed Easter to all!
