Counting the Cost
May 22nd, 2013 10:31 AM

It is unimaginable to consider a natural disaster that strikes your town or city, destroys everyone's home, businesses, community services, recreation areas, and everything else known.  It could take nearly a decade to rebuild.

This week such devastation has hit the residents of Oaklahoma and completely disrupted many lives.  With the determination to stick together, they can start over and rebuild their homes and their lives.  But in order to accomplish such a monumental task, everyone will need to step away from their normal lives and commit to new tasks.  There are so many needs, financially, spiritually and physically, and an entire town will need to be relocated and rebuilt from the ground up.   Every day a little more will need to be done than is required.

We will all need to "count the cost" of what we can offer to help  give such a massive project the momentum it needs to succeed.  It could happen to any of us at any time.   No one knows what tomorrow will bring or change in our lives.  However, we are never alone in our diversity.  People will always bond together in a crisis or need and will provide the strength and means to get it done.

Residents of Oaklahoma, we care and are with you in spirit.  May each day bring you new blessings.
