Comparisons are irresistible but very often our self-torture of choice.  How often do we covet someone else's talent, home, clothes, income, career, or success?  Not to mention accomplishments, achievements, awards, or recognition.  It is so easy to wish for something that someone else has.   But by doing this, we gradually destroy our own self worth and cause much distress.

Even in real estate, it is common to see sellers comparing their own home to someone else's; buyers comparing homes in the same community; and realtors comparing one home against another that are for sale.  Comparisons are much needed in order to make educated and quality decisions in the real estate market.   But it is not necessary to covet what another homeowner has to offer.

There is a buyer for every home on the market.  Some homes will take much longer than others for that buyer to be discovered.  But every home has good and unique qualities that no other has.  It might be the location, the upgrades inside, the interior design and decor, or the care and condition of the home itself.  Each home has its individual character with positive aspects and it will appeal to someone in time.

Each home will have its day to shine.  Comparisons serve a good purpose, but by always bringing out the best qualities that a home has to offer,  a buyer is out there, just waiting to be found.
