My New Blog

July 5th, 2012 3:41 PM

We all enjoy celebrating the 4th of July and look forward every year to the picnics, fireworks and family time, whether at the beach, another vacation spot or at home.   This year, I got to celebrate the birth of my little granddaughter as well!

After four long years of trying many different options to have her first baby, my daughter decided to give it a rest and let her faith give her what she most desired.  At 11:14 PM, "almost July 4th" she was rewarded for that faith.  Little Samantha Rochelle was born into this world with the help of consistent prayers from many friends and family, and a true "angel" she is!   Of course, any grandmother is going to say she is the most beautiful baby ever born!

We usually only take time to celebrate the actual holidays on the calendar, but there is so much more in life to celebrate than a "date."  Continue to celebrate, with thankfulness, for spouses, children, and people in our lives who truly make the difference.   For without them, there would be no meaning to the celebrations.

Hope your 4th of July was as wonderful as mine!
